Visiting Nauyaca Waterfall Nature Park is a one-of-a-kind experience in Costa Rica. Choosing the right arrival time can make a real difference — cooler temperatures, quieter trails, and more space to take it all in at your own pace.
7:30 am
Opening — recommended arrival
Cooler temperatures, peaceful trails, and the best light for photography. Arriving at opening gives you the most complete and unhurried experience.
10:00 am
Peak hours — highest visitor volume
The park receives the most visitors between 10:00 am and 1:00 pm. Trails and common areas become more crowded, and wait times for internal transport increase.
2:30 pm
Last entry
No new visitors are admitted after this time. Plan your arrival well in advance to make the most of your visit.
4:00 pm
Park closes
All visitors must have exited the park by this time.

Tip: Transport wait times can stretch during peak hours (10:00 am – 1:00 pm). Arriving before 10:00 am means shorter waits and trails that are practically yours alone.
Arrive early, take your time on the trails, and let the forest set the pace. Those who get there at opening are rewarded with the best light, the quiet of the jungle, and the waterfalls almost entirely to themselves.
