Well Maintained

June 24, 2026

Nauyaca Falls was awesome! With all the rain, the waterfall was ROARING! We were soaked just standing near it. It was muddy from all the sediment getting churned up from the rains too. We didn’t get to swim due to intense currents, but we super enjoyed getting to see & hear it from up close. The facilities here look brand new (maybe they are, maybe they are just super well maintained). I recommend going first thing in the morning and taking the tractor ride down. If you are getting yourself there, make sure the car you take is 4×4. The roads to get there are not all paved and are very hilly.

Definitely make sure to follow the directions they provide, you will pass the other Nauyaca Falls access location on your way. The directions were easy to follow and signs were posted along the way.

Thank you for sharing your experience!

We’re thrilled you had the opportunity to see Nauyaca Falls at such a powerful time of year. During the rainy season, the waterfalls can become truly spectacular, and hearing the roar of the water up close is an unforgettable experience.

We’re glad you found the directions easy to follow and that the signage helped guide your visit. It’s also wonderful to hear your kind words about our facilities and transportation service.

While swimming is not always possible when water levels and currents are strong, guest safety is always our top priority. We’re happy you were still able to enjoy the beauty and energy of the falls from a safe distance.

Thank you for your helpful recommendations to future visitors, and we hope to welcome you back for another adventure at Nauyaca Falls!

Wonderful short hike to breathtaking waterfall

June 24, 2026

We really enjoyed this hike through lush vegetation, saw a few native creatures (even a baby sloth)! Trails are well marked, with helpful stairs to ensure footing and safety. Spectacular double waterfall with pool to cool-off and soak-in the beauty of nature! The staff were super-helpful and gave us info and tips to maximize our day. The 4×4 ride saved us a strenuous walk/hike; drop-off location is nice with washrooms and shelter. We highly recommend to friends and family.

Very well done

A very well-presented and thought-out experience. We walked down and got the truck back. Trails were easy to follow and well maintained although it still felt wild. 9 and 11-year-old boys found it easy to do. The waterfalls were impressive.

A gem as nature made it, not commercialized

January 22, 2025

We took the 4-mile hike from self-parking. By the time we arrived, we were all a bit winded and tired…until we saw it. Nauyaca is one damn impressive sight. Get in both pools and swim across the lower. It’s so worth it. Highly recommend!
