An absolute must do! The waterfall and pools are one of the most beautiful sites that you'll see in costa rica and that's saying something because there's a bunch.  As soon as you walk up to the bottom of the falls your blown away.  The top of the falls was also a great view with a separate little pool to swim in.  The nature park was well kept as well and had many trees that are labeled. We saw a sloth in the tree near the lower break area that has bathrooms swings and hammocks. Well worth the money for the ride as you still have a bit of a walk shem to the falls. It is worth every step and penny.

I have been twice and this particular tour/ location is the best. Drive past the first "Nauyaca" office/ location you see on the main road and continue on about 30 more minutes. There are less people and it's a private organization- and the experience is mirrored by this more private option. One of the times we went it poured rain and we were the only ones there!? But I am relieved for the trucks to bring you back up the hill because I would not have made it either time without that help! My group was running late and the employees at Nauyaca Waterfall Nature Park let us in JUST under the wire (we bought the shuttle tickets online previously, so this saved us as well in terms of time) They told us the best trail to take for lack of time and they showed us their BABY sloth (forget the tourist trap Manuel Antonio and their many "official" parking scammers and sloth guides).

Undoubtably the best way to enjoy the falls! The other option, approaching from the other bank of the river did not allow access to get close enough to the upper falls to be able to swim in the pool of water at the base of the falls. The nature park also was not nearly as busy as the other side of the river. Therefore, we were swimming in the upper falls all by ourselves. The nature park also allows you a better access point in my opinion to swim below the lower falls as well.

The tram is critical as it is a steep climb to get back to the parking area. I highly recommend taking the tram both ways.
